Peace Poem by Eshani De Silva

Peace is all around us you see,
From the quiet buzzing of the bee,
To the swish of the sea’s waves,
What more can we possibly crave?

Poppies grew from out of the gore,
After a woeful, tragic war,
A true symbol of peace,
And a plea for war to cease.

The soothing waves’ ebb and flow,
A beautiful paradise when the tide is low,
A sea’s constant pulse, end on end,
In this timeless way the days we’ll spend

Peace is all around us you see,
From the quiet buzzing of the bee,
To the swish of the sea’s waves,
What more can we possibly crave?
