Connecting to the wireless network

  • A speech balloon should pop up from the system tray at the bottom right-hand side of your screen. Click on it.
  • Windows will now open a new dialogue box asking for your user name and password.
  • Enter the barcode number from the front of the library card (without the spaces) as the user name.
  • Enter your last name in lower case as the password. For example, if your last name is “Smith”, you would need to type “smith” as your password.
  • If your login is successful, then the entry in the wireless network list for UoL Libraries should change to Connected. You will now be able to use the Internet.
  • If your login was unsuccessful, then a balloon will pop up asking you to try and enter the details again.
  • At this point, you can either click on the balloon which will open the login dialogue again, or disconnect from the wireless network and try again.
