Trainspotting

Welsh, I. (1993) Trainspotting. Secker & Warburg.

How and where did you access it?

I am a HUUUGGGEEEE fan of radical bookshops being the hyperactive activist bibliophile that I am. I got it from the fabulous 'Word Power' in Edinburgh.

How did it make you feel?

Defiant. Armed with more ammunition to stick two fingers up to convention. Of course Trainspotting glorifies the damaging realities of defiance but cutting through that it instilled in me the belief that conditioning imprisons us - every aspect of our existence including our sexuality - and we can break free if we choose.

Did you share it?

I devour every book that Irvine Welsh writes and share from the rooftops - always good to generate more creative chaos in this world.
