Clothes, clothes, clothes. Music, music, music. Boys, boys, boys

Albertine, V. (2014) Clothes, Clothes, Clothes. Music, Music, Music. Boys, Boys, Boys. Faber & Faber.

How and where did you access it?

Bought by chance in bookshop in Brick Lane.

How did it make you feel?

Built hopes in my life. It's a female musician / mum / partner /woman autobiography who has gone through all sorts of status to became who she really is. It reminded me that when I was a child I wanted to play guitar or drum, but the only instrument allowed was the piano. And also touched me on being odd, being queer, and still surviving through life.

Did you share it?

Yes, I talked about this book with everyone during my reading time and for sometime later too.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about it?

Read it. In the background there is London back in '70s, female punk, feminism, loneliness and hope.
