How and where did you access it?
I grew up with these books. My brother read them and so I wanted to read them. I listened to Stephen Fry's narration almost every night of my childhood and that is one of the happiest memories I have.
How did it make you feel?
The fact that the aspect of Professor Dumbledore's sexuality was never expressed overtly in the series' story demonstrated to me that my own sexuality did not have to dominate my own story. Growing up, I knew I was different but I feared ostracisation and having my personality and character be defined by the fact that I am gay. This gave me hope that I could live as I wanted to live and be who I wanted to be without being restricted by sexuality.
Did you share it?
I have never shared these thoughts with anyone before now.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us about it?
Thank you for this opportunity.
